So… I just read this great new e-book. It’s called Charismatic Kid- The New Breed of Superhero. It’s written by Anthony Recenello. You can find him on twitter @CharismaticKid. He’s quite charming. No wonder he’s written such a witty and intelligent book!
The book talks about raising your children with these likable traits: Leadership, Inner Confidence, Outer Confidence, Creative Activities and Games, and Example Situations. Each chapter talks about different aspects of that trait. Take Leadership for instance… I love the section about “Teaching Selflessness”. Anthony writes…
“Show them that giving feels better than getting, and show them that it is not because they are expecting anything back, but because the feeling of making someone else happy is far greater than any other emotion or tangible reward.”
Anthony drives home the point in every chapter that it’s we, as parents, who hold the key to molding a charismatic child. He says in the introduction that the skills in the book are for parents and the activities are for the children. How can we teach our children to be likable and social… If we ourselves are not?
I recommend this book to anyone who struggles with a child who hides behind their legs. We’ve all been there. Let’s give our kids the skills to be socially confident and experience life!
*note… I was not compensated for this post. I just happen to like Anthony. He’s a pretty charismatic dude.
