Tupperware: Helping to Empower Women and Girls

While updating my Twitter this morning… I noticed this Tweet from @JessicaGottlieb “New post: Giveaway: Tupperware Gives to You Too”. I immediately Re-Tweeted it because I support most of the things that Jessica does. Then, I clicked the link and read the story.

Did you know that Tupperware was working with Brooke Shields to form Chain of Confidence? What is Chain of Confidence? Well… According to the Tupperware web site:

“Women connecting with one another creates an extraordinary source of strength, enabling them to feel confident in themselves, secure in their ability to succeed, empowered to make their voices heard and motivated to continually strive for greater achievements.”

The proceeds from Chain of Confidence, go to fund community organizations around the world who are helping to empower young women and girls.

At the end of Jessica’s post, she added a giveaway from Tupperware. I’m not talking about a few plastic containers here… I’m talking about a salad spinner, a Quick Chef chopper, a cork screw, a variety of containers and more!

Allison and Sadie Nardini Yoga BFFs

Wordless Wednesday

The view driving home on my street… Heavenly.

As most of you know… I have preschool age children and I pray everyday that they get their daddy’s smile! Poor little 3yr old Allison… it appears that she will have mommy’s smile. Don’t get me wrong… I smile all the time. I’ve been told that my smile is infectious (in a good way… I hope and not in a bad way like a rash). But all of my life, I have been self conscious of my teeth. The bottom ones especially are so very crooked. The top ones kind of have that endearing snaggle tooth ala Kirsten Dunst.

As some of you have struggled with comments on your weight… “You’d be so much prettier if…”

I have struggled with comments about my smile… “Think about how much prettier you’d be if…”

Although I am constantly aware of my less than perfect smile… I’ve never been afraid of being in the spotlight. In high school I was an all star athlete, student council president, social butterfly. As a young adult, I was a go getter, naturally social, drawn to sales and marketing. I made a career out of talking to people about great products.

Here I am now… MomTV, Vlogs, and conference appearances representing fabulous brands… now is not the time to start feeling self conscious about my smile!

Enter Invisalign. I have the opportunity to erase the past comments made, uncomfortable moments, and bad pictures. Thursday, I will be taking the first step on a new smile journey. I will be seeing Dr. Gary Brigham in Scottsdale, Az. He is one of Invisalign’s Premier Elite Providers. Stay tuned and follow along with me.

Much Love,
